Food & drink are so often an integral part of our guests vacation here in Australia. I'm always getting asked for great recommendations and Thanon Khaosan on Pitt Street is the destination for perhaps the best Thai food the city has to offer. Not only is it authentic in its ambience, the food is a absolutely superb. We ordered steamed barramundi in a soy sauce which came whole and was so tasty. In addition the chicken red curry was one of the best I've ever tasted. Add to that chicken with cashew nuts and a vegetarian pad thai. As it was a Saturday night there was a singer guitarist to add to the ambience. All in all it was great value, the only thing that I will say is that at the end of the evening when it came time to pay they wouldn't split the bill which is something that I don't quite get.
